This spectrometer is part of the ResoMag facility which aims to pool the different devices from laboratories working at the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at IP-Paris.

The Bruker 600 MHz Obelix NMR spectrometer is equipped in particular with a 14 T magnet, an Avance Neo console, a 5 mm liquid iProbe and a 3.2 mm CP-MAS solid probe. Broadband laser equipment allowing irradiation of a solid or liquid sample is present. Control is done with TopSpin and ICON-NMR software.

Obelix is mainly intended for studies under light irradiation and for research experiments and development of sequences or methods. Sparse, poorly concentrated or unstable samples are welcome. All experiments must be validated beforehand by the platform manager or a technical or scientific manager after transmitting a spectrum to a lower field accompanied by a descriptive sheet of the analyzes requested. Availability is visible on simresa, but only those responsible for the platform can reserve a slot. They alone are authorized to judge the appropriateness of using Obelix and to reserve it.

Each month and according to the schedule, three weeks are devoted to liquid phase experiments and one week to solid phase experiments. Over two consecutive months, two weeks in the solid phase may follow one another.

Each laser user must undergo training with a Laser Safety Manager from a Department laboratory.
