On January 12, Pierre-Jean Benghozi, Director of Research at the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) and professor at the Ecole Polytechnique, submitted to Jean-Noël Barrot, Minister Delegate for Digital Transition and Telecommunications, the evaluation report he had been commissioned to prepare on "Digital infrastructure and regional development: economic and social impacts of the Plan France Très Haut Débit".

This report aims to measure the economic impact of the PFTHD in terms of investment and employment, but also in terms of the attractiveness of territories. It analyzes the socio-economic impacts of the rollout and assesses the governance of this rollout by the public authorities. This ex-post evaluation report was carried out at the request of the government and the European Commission by a committee of stakeholders and a scientific council composed of experts and professionals.
