CRG history
The Centre de recherche en gestion de l'Ecole polytechnique was created in 1972 and has been associated with the CNRS since 1980.
From 1972 to 1974, CRG was headed by Bertrand Collomb, then by Michel Berry (1975-1991), Jacques Girin (1991-2003), Christophe Midler (2003-2012) and Hervé Dumez (2012-2022). Etienne Minvielle, Director, and Cécile Chamaret, Deputy Director, currently coordinate the CRG. Since 2014, CRG has been part of i3 (Institut interdisciplinaire de l'innovation).
This module retraces the history of Ecole polytechnique's management research center through the testimonies of various researchers. It shows how management research has developed over the last fifty years within this laboratory.
Michel Berry's point of view:

Jean de Kervasdoué's point of view:
Jean de Kervasdoué has been a researcher, teacher, senior civil servant and company founder. In particular, he was Director of Hospitals at the French Ministry of Health (1981-1986), and in this capacity was behind several reforms. An international consultant and visiting professor at Yale University, he has published numerous articles and books on healthcare systems. He is a member of the Académie des Technologies, Professor Emeritus at the CNAM and a journalist with Le Point.
John Kimberly's point of view:
John Kimberly completed his PhD. at Cornell University and has taught at the University of Illinois, Yale University and is Henry Bower Professoir Emeritus at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, with visiting appointments at INSEAD, ESSEC, and Paris Dauphine and fellowships at the Ecole polytechnique and INSEAD. He as collaborated in research and writing with CRG-connected schollards including Jean de Kervasdoué, Gérard de Pouvourville, Michel Berry, Hamid Bouchikhi, and Etienne Minvielle.
