Chamaret Cécile
Cécile Chamaret is a graduate of ENS Cachan with a degree in economics and management and a doctorate from the Ecole Polytechnique. She taught for 5 years in Abu Dhabi and conducted research on consumer behavior in the Gulf States. She is a professor in the MIE department. She is interested in consumer behavior in the context of innovation. She has published numerous academic articles in journals such as Journal of Business Research, International Journal of Retail and Distribution Management, Energy Policy, Recherches et Applications Marketing and others.
She heads the Executive Master program at Ecole Polytechnique.
She is deputy director of the i3-CRG research laboratory.
Research topics
Resistance to innovation
My research focuses on resistance behaviors during the adoption phase, but also on discontinuity through the abandonment of innovation. I'm particularly interested in technological objects such as smart meters and electric vehicles.
Sobriety and minimalism
I'm interested in the consumption dynamics of consumers who advocate sobriety in their behavior (energy, transport, food...).
