The field of mental health is particularly well-suited to the development of AI. Even if most approaches are still at the experimental stage, they open up prospects for personalized treatment paths, both because of the enhanced predictive capabilities of illnesses and because of more tailored exchanges with patients. A good example is the possibility of predicting episodes of severe depression using physiological factors processed by Machine Learning. However, the complexity of the clinical and psychosocial factors to be taken into account makes the application of these innovations still a delicate matter. On the other hand, the analysis of medical record data using natural language methods is progressing by leaps and bounds, opening up complementary perspectives.
