i3-CRG Back-to-School Day on November 24
The CRG's back-to-school day, held on November 24 at Château Button in Gif-sur-Yvette, is a key moment in the life of the laboratory. This annual event brings together faculty, doctoral students, and administrative staff to review the achievements of the past year and warmly welcome newcomers.
This is an ideal opportunity to strengthen ties within the community, review past achievements, launch new ideas, share experiences, and discuss upcoming projects, as well as a dynamic research environment.
Axelle Guers, Armel Fernandez Calpe, and Minjoo Kim, all three new doctoral students at CRG, shared their academic and professional backgrounds during a dedicated session.
Two well-known figures from the team look back on their career paths. Mathias Béjean, associate researcher since 2023, was recently appointed Chair of the MIE (Department of Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship), and Joël Perez Torrents, former doctoral student at the CRG, then postdoctoral fellow at McGill, has been a research associate at the CRG since the fall.
The day continued with a round table discussion featuring two former CRG doctoral students. Nathalie RAULET-CROSET, professor at IAE Paris-Sorbonne, co-director of the Executive Master's in Association Management and the Chaire de recherche Mutations Anticipations Innovations (MAI) and Gilles Garel, professor at Cnam and holder of the Innovation Management Chair. During the discussion, they shared their experiences and highlighted the importance of the CRG in their professional careers. They reflected on the profession of teaching and research in management, addressing the challenges and rewards associated with this profession. This round table was a valuable opportunity for participants to learn from the experiences of their predecessors and to strengthen the spirit of community within the CRG.
This back-to-school day on November 24 illustrates the vitality of the laboratory and the richness of exchanges between doctoral students, researchers, and alumni.
