Mechanics of materials

In the context of the industrial chair with Arkema, the goal of this internship is to write general constitutive equations designed for thermoplastics elastomers. An experimental data base has already been obtained for a specific PEBAX thermoplastic elastomer. The material shows a viscohyperelastic behavior with some residual strain increasing with the residual applied loading.

The student will gain knowledge in finite strain constitutive equations writing for polymers.
Some additional experiments might be run according to the need of further characterization or validation.

Requirements: some knowledge in continuum mechanics, mechanics of materials, python or Matlab programming
