Abstract : Gene expression in bacteria is known to be mainly regulated at the transcription level, nevertheless there are numerous ways for their regulation to occur at the translation level. In this talk, I will present our results on a family of recently identified translation factors that can modulate protein expression in response to changes in the bacterial environment. I will also present some results on the cis-acting elements of the mRNAs that impact on their translation by the ribosome.
