Computer science comprises an extremely vast body of knowledge. It is no doubt as vast as all the fields of experimental science, and the methods used in each field (compilation, cryptology, computer graphics) are as varied as those found in condensed matter physics or cellular biology. Nevertheless, all branches of computer science share a number of concepts, namely the algorithm, the program and the machine.
The Department aims to provide future graduates with the essential skills of the field of computer science. Found in all areas of society, economics and science, this discipline must be mastered by any engineer or researcher, regardless of their chosen field
