Presentation
The Morphoscope project aims at establishing state-of-the art facilities for optical imaging and image analysis of living systems. It is funded by a major grant from the National Agency for Research (ANR) through the "Investments for the future / EQUIPEX" program. It will integrate cutting-edge technology in photonic microscopy and computational analysis dedicated to in vivo multiscale investigations in integrative biology, based on the expertise of its core developing partners.
This original platform with emphasis on technology development and innovation will be hosted by the research center of Ecole Polytechnique, one of the funding members of the Paris-Saclay University. The project is coordinated by Dr. Emmanuel Beaurepaire from the Lab for Optics and Biosciences (LOB) and assembles a large multidisciplinary group of investigators from several research institutes.
During the first phase of the project, imaging and analysis methods are being developed by the project developing partners. Developments are motivated by experimental bottlenecks in pilot studies. After validation, methods are made available for applicative projects through the facilities of the Ecole Polytechnique research center and of the partners.
Equipment phase: 2013-2018.
Running phase: 2015-2019.
