Presentation of the BR

Le Binet Réseau est l'association des étudiants de l'École polytechnique qui s'occupent du réseau élève ("shadow IT") :
maintenance des serveurs, mise en place de nouveaux services et développement (applications réseau et sites).

Nos missions s'articulent selon trois axes :

- Support élève : lorsqu'un élève de l'École rencontre un problème de nature informatique, c'est nous qu'il doit contacter en priorité. Nous les aidons notamment à configurer leur accès Internet mais répondons également à toute autre sorte de questions.

- Formations : régulièrement, nous organisons des soirées pour transmettre aux promotions ce que nous avons appris des dernières technologies utilisées au BR (Linux, Django, React, Git, etc).

- Maintenance et développement de services : la partie submergée de l'iceberg. Nous maintenons une dizaine de serveurs qui nous permettent de fournir différents services aux élèves. C'est notamment en étroite relation avec la DSI que nous gérons leur accès Internet depuis les caserts.

The President
He is the one who drinks coffee with other student organizations and the Kès. He is in charge of a bit of everything and not much, but does a lot of communication.

The Treasurer
The President’s firewall, he ensures that cryptocurrency mining on students’ computers connected to the network is well optimized, without any budgetary memory leaks.

The Vice-President
Le Magouilleur He tries his best to secure the organization’s websites by setting passwords more secure than "password" and protecting requests from SQL injections. He is also responsible for assigning internships and
sports for the X25.

The Secretary General
Specialist in the administrative procedures of the Nation, this is a position of high responsibility. He is in charge of the entire judicial cell of the organization.

He talks to computers and tells them how to provide you with a whole bunch of services.
