Application deadline: March 15 2021.

Starting : September 2021

The Department of Computer Science of the Ecole Polytechnique (DIX) is willing to recruit a Part-Time “Professor in Charge of Courses” (*) at 40% (annual teaching load: 77h), able to teach in the domain of computer networks.

The candidate should hold a habilitation in Computer Science (or an equivalent level) and show great abilities in teaching and research.

She or he should be able to contribute to core computer science courses, as well as to specialized courses closer to their research domain, at all levels of DIX curriculums (Bachelor, Cycle Ingénieur Polytechnicien, Master, Master of Science and Technology), and by participating to existing teaching teams. It should show the ability of the candidate to work in teams and his/her motivation for teaching. Specific pedagogical proposals, showing for instance the candidate’s ability to contribute to flipped classrooms and/or to develop project-based teaching and evaluation, are much welcome. Being fluent in French is a plus, but not mandatory.

Candidates will be evaluated based on their educational skills, their interest in teaching at Ecole Polytechnique, and their availability for participating to the educational, and if possible research, activities of the department.

The deadline for applying through the Ecole Polytechnique website (http://www.polytechnique.edu/) is March 15 2021 and interviews will be planned the first weeks of May.

Candidates are encouraged to contact the department prior to the application, to discuss and refine their teaching project:
