Exploiting and analyzeing data to face the challenges of a company: the example of CNAMTS

Thanks to Emmanuel Bacry, a Data Science specialist, l’École joined the National Workers Health Insurance Fund of France (CNAMTS, Caisse Nationale de l’Assurance Maladie des Travailleurs Salarié) in order to support the development of Big Data technology applied in the health sector. The goal of this collaboration is to deploy new strategies of data exploitation for the National Inter-Modal System of Health Insurance (Système National Inter-Régimes de l’Assurance Maladie–SNIRAM), one of the most important health databases of the world, managed by CNAMTS for the French State, anonymously describing the medical care provided to more than 65 million beneficiaries. Within this framework, several research topics were identified providing a response to medical and economical challenges at the same time: to detect weak signals or anomalies in pharmaco-epidemiology, to efficiently identify the useful elements for the analysis of medical treatments, to cope with abuses and fraud...     Continue reading here
