- From Mid September till the end of January: a teaching of 27 ECTS structured around five modules: a module of organic chemistry (MOD1), a module of organometallic chemistry and catalysis (MOD2), a module of supra- and macromolecular chemistry (MOD3), a module of chemistry at the interface with biology (MOD4) and a module at the interface with optoelectronics (MOD5). The choice will be given to students either to follow all modules or to replace one of the last two modules (MoD4 or MoD5) by a literature project (5 ECTS) on a topic related to the research project that will be performed after January.

-From Mid January (or early February) till the end of June: 1 experimental internship in academia or industry in the field of molecular chemistry (30 ECTS).

- 1 literature project (required to obtain the diploma) will be undertaken in parallel to the courses (3 ECTS).

Module 1 - Organic Chemistry : 6 ECTS (53,5 hours of courses +tutorial classes to be divided between the courses)

This module focuses on organic synthesis. Built on the foundations of the first year of the master program, it expands on advanced concepts (diastereoselectivity, enantioselectivity, chemistry of the main functional groups, retrosynthesis…). These notions are illustrated by various examples and important applications are introduced. The importance of understanding reaction mechanisms is also emphasized.

Diploma requirements
The 5 chemistry modules, the literature project, and the expiratmental project are compulsory to obtain the International Master in Molecular Chemistry diploma from the University of Paris-Saclay.
