Le Symposium Jean Mandel est un évènement annuel parrainé par la CHAIRE depuis sa création.

Le Symposium Jean Mandel est ouvert à tous les étudiants, chercheurs et scientifiques intéressés par le sujet proposé. Il combine, dans un cadre informel, une présentation liminaire par un scientifique de renommée internationale et des conférences données par de jeunes chercheurs associés au laboratoire. Une grande partie du temps est consacrée aux discussions scientifiques.
