Scholarships and financial aid
At École Polytechnique, we admit the most talented undergraduate students from all over the world through a need-blind admissions process.
École Polytechnique offers tuition fee waivers based on a student's ability to contribute towards their education and the École Polytechnique Foundation offers a limited number of excellence scholarships based on academic excellence to help us attract and reward the very top students worldwide.
The generosity of our community – Alumni and their families, students and their relatives, friends of our institution – allows us to fund these scholarships. To be eligible for this type of financial aid, students must be admitted "with honors". Once they are admitted "with honors", students may submit an application both for the tuition fee waivers as well as the excellence scholarships. The attribution of the tuition fee waivers depends on the student's family’s ability to contribute towards the cost of their education. The attribution of the excellence scholarships depends on the strength of the application (based on feedback from the Admissions Committee as well as the quality of the specific essay included as part of the application for an excellence scholarship). Cumulating these financial aids with other substantial scholarships may not be possible. Candidates are required to declare all other (external) financial aid they apply to and receive during the Bachelor's program and cases are evaluated one by one.
All students admitted to the Bachelor program are also eligible for interest-free loans supported by the École Polytechnique Foundation. The attribution of these loans depends on the student's family's ability to contribute towards the cost of education.
Several other bursaries may be available to École Polytechnique Bachelor students according to different requirements such as nationality, academic achievements and study plan. A complete list of scholarships and grants is available on CampusBourses listing, where they are sorted by supporting organizations, fields of studies and countries of origin.
