International Academic Exchange Program
The International Academic Exchange Program enables international students from École polytechnique's partner universities with exceptionally strong competencies in science to attend certain courses in the Ingénieur Polytechnicien Program. This Exchange Program includes courses in the 2nd and 3rd years of the curriculum, for a period lasting between three months to a full academic year. Students have the possibility under certain conditions to complete this period of study by a research internship in one of École Polytechnique's laboratories.
Although this is a non-degree-seeking program, students are able to receive credits at their home universities for courses they attend at École polytechnique. All applications are formalized with a learning agreement which must be approved beforehand by the student and his or her home university.
The International Exchange Program welcomes applications from:
- Students in the ERASMUS exchange program. École polytechnique has adopted the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS);
- Students in the X-North America Program attending North American universities which have established partnerships and accords with École polytechnique;
- Students attending universities outside of Europe or North America which have signed an exchange agreement with École polytechnique.
Applicants must contact their university’s Office of International Affairs to ensure that their university is a partner.
