SCIENCE CLASSES

LANGUAGE CLASSES

Exchange students can take French classes offered by the Department of Languages and Cultures, depending on the student’s level and class availability. A placement test is set each year before the end of September and French classes start the following week. The levels offered range from beginner to advanced (A1 to C2).

Classes in another foreign language taught by the Department are open to exchange students if places are available. Students must have a B1 level in this language.

 

HUMANITIES AND SOCIAL SCIENCES CLASSES

Exchange students can take one to two classes per semester offered by the Department, depending on availability.

 

MANAGEMENT, INNOVATION & ENTREPRENEURSHIP CLASSES

Exchange students can take one to two classes per semester offered by the Department, depending on availability.

 

SPORTS

Exchange students have access to all sport facilities on the campus.

 

COURSE RESTRICTIONS

Students may enroll in any of the classes mentioned above, except for those taught within the Master of Science and Technology Data Science for Business Program, which is not open to exchange students. Enrollment in MScT classes is limited to 2 classes maximum per term.

For scientific projects, students may enroll but due to limited seats, it will depend on the approval of the course instructor.

At graduate level, only scientific research internships -3rd year of the Ingénieur Polytechnicien Program are open to exchange students, under certain conditions, and if the internship is completed at an École Polytechnique laboratory.

Students may not enroll in classes taught as part of the 2nd year of a Master of Science and Technology.
